My husband saw Dr. Laura Grinstead.. To say she is wonderful is putting it mildly. She listened, without rushing you to get through, and she truly LISTENED to our concerns. She explained about his hearing loss, explained about hearing aids we were purchasing. Had follow-up appointment with her, she then explained to my husband why the aids should be worn consistently, which he wasn't doing at that time. She told us repeatedly, if we had any problems or questions to call her immediately. We were NEVER pressured to purchase the most expensive aids, she explained benefits of them all. She is caring, empathetic, and she truly wants what is best for her patients. The office staff is just as wonderful as the doctors are. Stacie at front desk is a sweetheart. She even directed us to office on cell, when I got lost. The waiting room and drs. offices are the cleanest of any drs. offices I have ever been in. You have time to use the aids (2 months) if you are not satisfied with them, you can return them. I recommend this practice with my whole heart, I don't think you could find better anywhere. In this day and age to find a practice that cares about their patients like this one does is rare. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Took my mother to a different office for hearing aids. They were not too thorough and we must of made 15 trips back and forth and it still wasn’t right. We felt like a number and was rushed. We were recommended to come here and glad we did! Janet is so professional and caring. She takes her time, is thorough and did so much more than the other office did. We haven’t even gotten them adjusted yet but can easily tell we are sticking with Janet because of the quality of service. She’s already hearing much better than before. I have been blown away by the service at this location. When I started to notice a mild hearing loss at higher frequencies I did a lot of research (Doctor Cliff, AuD - YouTube). I found that Real Ear Measures were the gold standard for fitting hearing aides to the prescription. I started calling Audiologist offices close to my home and this one recognized REM as a gold standard in calibrating hearing aides. I went for my hearing test which confirmed a mild hearing loss. Dr. Janel Briggs was excellent at explaining what all the testing results meant and answering my many questions. I like to get copies of all test results and here it was not a problem at all. I ordered a pair of Phonak Audéo Marvel R M90s. After the initial fitting I had an issue with "static" when streaming bluetooth music to one of the hearing aides. One of the RICs also needed slight adjustment. Dr. Briggs called Phonak and discussed ahead of my second fitting and corrected both issues while I was there. I am still in the 60 day trial window, but very happy with my hearing aids and extremely satisfied with the Center for Audiology Services.

Although I have primarily been seen by Dr. Briggs, I have been greeted by Dr. Janet Westlund and always interact with Stacy Wambold.
I highly recommend this office to anyone as there is an atmosphere of cooperation among all the Doctors and staff. Their goal is to foster "patients for life" and based on my first three appointments they have won me over.

I had tried for several years to deny my need for a hearing aid, usually claiming that others spoke too softly and that TV and radio were turned down too low, even though, at age 78, I realized that my hearing wasn't as good as in my earlier years. I had had periodic hearing examinations, and these corroborated my diminished hearing ability, so I knew that I finally had to pay attention. I had also delayed seriously considering getting a hearing aid because I felt the technology wasn't sufficiently advanced, and, even more important, I was and remain convinced that hearing aid costs are unfairly omitted from most insurance plans; after all, who ever chose to have a hearing aid for cosmetic reasons? They are clearly and exclusively a therapeutic device to help the hearing-impaired.

But after saying all this for some years, I finally decided to do something about my hearing loss. Of course, I had the same options anyone reading this testimonial does, ranging from department stores to hearing aid shops to licensed practitioners to physicians, but I wanted the best qualified person to provide my specific hearing therapy without this being either a high-pressure sales pitch from highly-advertised mass-market dealers, at one extreme, or, at the other, a profitable conflict of interest situation similar to that of an ophthalmologist who just happens to have an optical practice conveniently located in his or her office.

After consultation with friends who wore hearing aids as well as physicians whom I knew and trusted, I selected Janet Westlund, who was uniformly praised highly and who has a Doctor of Audiology degree, a specialized degree qualifying her to deal exclusively with hearing problems. At our initial appointment, after diagnosing my needs based on a thorough hearing examination, she discussed my various options, explaining the advantages and costs of each and allowing my wife and me to make an educated choice. I have had no reservations or qualifications about my decision to consult with Dr. Westlund, for she does one thing and one thing only, diagnosing and fitting hearing aids, and she has been doing this for some 30 years to uniformly high praise. Dr. Westlund accurately determined what I needed for my hearing loss, and she is always available for follow-up service, adjustment, and advice.

My only regret is that I didn't get a hearing aid several years earlier, for this would have enhanced my life and the lives of those who had to listen constantly to my complaints about volume! I have now had my specially programmed hearing aid for several months, and it has made a world of difference. One needs only to see the smile on my wife's face to realize that today's hearing aid technology is effective and that my hearing aid is as important a normal part of my daily life as my glasses. I would be happy to talk to anyone who reads this testimonial about my experience with Dr. Westlund.
